Andy Pope
Andy Pope & Associates (APA Insurance + Mortgages) was founded in 1988 when Andy started his career in the insurance industry as a self employed insurance adviser. Over the years Andy has achieved high levels of industry standard qualifications and continues to retain his status has a Level 5 Risk Adviser specialising in the business insurance market.
Together with his wife Shona, they have built up a well respected and successful business, assisting clients in assessing their current and future insurance needs and providing appropriate solutions for both personal and business requirements.
Ian Wallace
Ian started in the insurance industry in 2001 specialising in Health Insurance before taking up the position as Risk Adviser with APA Insurance + Mortgages in 2005. Since that time he has gained vast knowledge and experience across all sectors of the insurance market and enjoys working with his clients to ensure their risk needs are met.
A proud 5th generation West Coaster from Lake Haupiri and who attended St. Andrews College in Christchurch in the 70's. In 1990 Ian moved to Eyreton to farm Deer and Cattle and moved to Christchurch in 2000.
Russell King
Progressing through a long career of sales management, Russell
has collected experience on many of New Zealand leading companies such as Telecom NZ and Mitsubishi and has complemented this with running his own companies.
At APA since 2006, he balances this experience with a contribution to the wider community - being a sworn Justice of the Peace.
Brodie McDonald
Brodie began working with APA in 2007 after a career shift to insurance exposed him to the satisfaction of helping people protect what matters most to them. Prior to working in insurance and lending, Brodie had an extensive career in engineering and management, providing Brodie with skills and knowledge he uses to assist his clients in finding the best solution for their business risk management.
He believes his service doesn’t stop at simply finding the right insurance or lending solution, instead helping clients to understand their insurance or lending and how best to make it work for them.
Shona Pope
Shona’s career in the insurance industry started in 1975 as an administration officer for National Insurance. When APA commenced in 1988 she began working alongside husband Andy assisting with the day to day running of the business. In more recent times her role as General Insurance Broker for APA has become an integral part of the business.
